Our Mission

Our mission at Sarah’s House is to establish a safe place for young women ages 18+ and their children and to build a community that strengthens and supports them - guiding them step by step into stability and independence.  We will meet their practical needs while also providing biblical teaching and discipleship to help them discover their identity in Christ and His purpose for their lives.

In order to give the women we serve a real chance at developing successful, productive lives, we partner with each one to create a personal development plan using her goals, dreams and skills.  We step in and help with the day to day needs by providing a safe home and childcare so that these women have the best opportunity to meet their individual goals.

We also believe in community, so we partner with area churches to provide spiritual discipleship and life skills development for each of these women including Bible studies, parenting classes, and financial literacy classes.  We also have a house mom onsite to bring stability to the residents and the home.

“Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.”
